Nothing But The Truth...

images

‘Just tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Back Then…

Hmmm, aside from the show of a famous personality in those days, this was the expression I recall about my Mom–who constantly remind me to hold on to the truth no matter what or she’ll gonna give me a whip I won’t forget. It grew roots and spread conviction on me in every time I was in any occasion. Minsan nga I bump the toughest guy in our neighborhood, I said na mali ang ginawa niya about the garden ng isang matanda dun sa amin. He might hurt me bad, but I was (of course) more afraid by the punishment I will get from my Mom when I don’t tell the truth. Aaaah that was foolish (I thought) and I almost backdown. But such was the conviction I felt that my mom implanted, I nervously went on to confess truth–kahit kabog talaga, co’z of the tigasin o siga na kababata ko. Hmmm, those were the days… tsk, tsk.

And Now…

I would say that lies could not only create breaches of trust, they also cause an inner decay as well. A decay that might develop you into a monster with a stone-poison-heart and will kick you farther away and away, from grace meant for you. And that is quite painful, my friend. You may hide it but until when?… Think of it this way and read well, “Truth builds a foundation for all other character. It could bring you to more heights and widen your sights on life. It also establishes your personal integrity and becomes the corner stone for your lasting relationships to every creature you could meet along the way.

NBTT1Truth could be tough or should I say, it is definitely tough. It could make or break you. It will surely not break like a bubble at the touch, it will stay to convict you all day. You can or may kick it about all day long, like a football and it will be round and full at the evening trying to melt and mold you—if (only) you allow it to change you and would stick to it until….

The Christians greatest enemy back on the early church was the persecution and the prosecution. When those enemies realized they couldn’t beat them, they decided to ‘spread a different gospel.’ NaGets nyo? They wanted to taint the gospel a bit, but recently it has grown much bigger now. It’s like the rainbow that originated as a promise by God, but now has been tainted so much by the world., painted with much colors of confusions. Would you allow it to continue??

You know…, the truth used to be just the truth then, but now it has become NBTTsubjective. The truth used to be objective—black or white. Now, we have the idea of truth being defined by an individual’s feelings and opinions. ‘Feel the deception lately?? Think about it?….

One good educator (whose name escapes me….sorry.) once gave this good word to lived by, he said: “One must keep one thing forever in view—the Truth: and if you do this, although it may seem to lead you away from the opinions of men, it will assuredly conduct you to the throne of God.” Ang husay noh? So we should or must always speak the Truth–not just a part of it, but all—for all! And please do remember to be kind and compassionate as you do so. Stand, show and survive by it!

Someone with enough experience in the truth can spot a phony a mile away. Make sure your focus is right. Don’t focus on what you can’t control. Put your focus on the One who can control everything and then do what you’re supposed to do.

Brethren, It is never wrong to be simply truthful. ‘Hope we all learn it well and see its application everyday!

Shalom and God bless…..

VERSE-MEAL:
Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 2Cor. 4:2

The Delays, the Pauses & the Waiting...

Picture2

It’s been looong! Whew!

I found myself reading some interesting articles regarding pregnancies…yup! It really perk me up. Do you know that the great , big elephant takes about twenty months of pregnancy. Tsk tsk …tagal noh? What about a kind of spiny shark…, Yung pagbubuntis nila ay mga 22-24 months. Hahaha buti na lang di ako naging babae. Sa ating mga tao nine months lang pero mahirap pa rin at may halong takot pa. I also read about a certain Alpine salamander, at sabi dun sa magazine eh, they endure a period of thirty-eight months. Whoa! Such periods really builds a loooong experience and the required patience for the women who chose to be Mom.

Patience is what I think–while reading the mags. Kasi marami akong hinihintay. Related imageHumahaba na ang panalangin ko hehehe at para na akong ermitanyo pag tumitingin ako sa salamin. Hahaha! Mahirap din palang maghintay, it’s never a joke yet, a good thing is being develop when you do! And when I read the Good Book, there are many human examples that I really did not think, (sorry po ha!) that they would survive such a verrrry looong waiting. At naiisip ko tuloy, wala pa sa kalahati nila ang experience ko regarding waiting. It could be just a matter of delays for them. But the thing is… one might lost the golden opportunity to learn considerably big if one continue to neglect the importance of discovering such interval of the pauses, (whew!) that somehow bring sweats and pains. (Napakamot ako ng ulo ahh!)

I remember “Father Abraham, oo yung pong may seven children daw hehehe sabi nung kanta ng bata. Seriously, I admire him for showing the great lessons about waiting. His faithfulness really astounds me. Although uncertainty and difficulty flagged him, He still wait for God’s promise to be fulfilled. He has reached a very old age yet still that “father of a great nation” thing he believes, notwithstanding the situation happening around him plus the unbelief of his wife. Imagine bukod sa napakatanda na nya, yung asawa nya eh… anu bay un?, baog pa! He may have somehow questioned how the fulfilment of the promise was possible without or even the basic possibility of a son. Paano na yun?

He, “Father Abaham” was called righteous and after 25 looong years, the promise of a son was given.

Picture1

Waiting for God’s promises to be fulfilled is a call of trusting Him. No matter how long the delay, no matter how it might appear to be, as long as the Lords uttered it…it will surely come. HE said it and He has that kind of integrity! Sigurado yun!

Shalom! God bless po sa inyong lahat!

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebews 10:23

Still in the 'I am",... Hmmm...

Praise God who never changes…..indeed He is!, but there’s another thing that I want to share from my quiet time which I believe is applicable to everybody. HMHYHE!

ILot of times, everyone is a victim of this very “I am” scenario. The great “I Am” is many times being replace by our selfishly owned “I am”. We mostly see (for our own interest) the shallow part of what has transpired rather than what is really the bigger lesson it brings. Bakit kaya? (only oneself can answer that honestly?) Gaano kalaki ang dinadala mo to look beyond the golden piece of practical wisdom?, that the situation simply offer. We become to inclinedly believe more of the down-to-earth lies and deception emanating from one’s own motives. So selfish, isn’t it”? ‘Better to point a single finger with so much feelings and shaking to deny the majority of other fingers pointing at you. Di bah? Ganun ba ‘yon? May tawag dun eh.., Hmmmm….well, we should realize that, more and fast.

wowieWe say, I’m a Christian but does our actions follow?, Does our thoughts support it?, Does our ways in agreement with it? Hmmm…, I guess I know, from an experience….the response to that! Excuses and more excuses are quite pouring in and might already be capturing our mind and possibly our heart. (‘quite a very dangerous phenomenon, I could say….) “Losing to the hollow and confusing knowledge of “men’s masterly wisdom” (HMHYHE) is not in any way an option–whatever and whenever, IF!!…, you really acquire God’s Word completely in your life. ‘Still reading??

Another thing…, this “practical” wisdom (as simple as it is which is undeniably wisdomoverlooked mostly) is and will, not be derived from any of men’s selfish way of thinking. (Unless you’re seeking His truth,) pero sadly most of us are visibly looking after promoting our own and making defense (hmmm, constituted as–attack) ideas at a rightful consequence (daw) of a situation we’re into. ‘Hard to admit ehy?, kasi hypocrisy is slowly entering here, and no one likes that name for her nor himself!….. Hmmm, Am I talkin’ sense now?, if we can grasp its meaning for our own.., that’s a good beginning to take the step for enlightenment! And we’ll gonna experience better blessings…, I expect that!

So now…., Graduation is mostly at hand! Are we still in the “I am” mode. ‘Hopefully not anymore. As the world is drowning to the many lies and deceptions of false prophesy and selfishness today, genuine Christians should be mindful of every situations mounting up in the surroundings. People are still hungry for the real issue to ensure their life eternally. ‘Will we be telling them Jesus? ‘Will we be also busy with it. Will we be willing? Will we be committed?

I’ll just leave the choice to you (again…IF!!…, you really acquire God’s Word completely in your life.) And please be truly sure to tackle them wisely with the right WORD not your own….

Shalom & God bless po! in getting His “aloha!” Till next time….

At Your Service...

ServiceI read a good inspirational story that gave me a heart pounding and inspiration with lots of tears inside…. a loud chore that requires an open, huge & listening ears. Well.., who knows…?, this might be a boat to carry you to the place you needed to reach…….today! (smiles….)

A certain tired, hungry and very discouraged Christian stopped and went on a certain restaurant to grab for food and rest. The guy immediately called the waiter to quickly lift his deflated spirit yet it was not just the physical food that would fill him that very hour.

Waiter1Then the waiter appeared displaying a very flashing bright smile as he guide him to a table neatly arranged. He introduced himself politely to be his server  that time and greeted him with a great “How are you Sir?”, but an indifferent respond from the guy was noticed, perhaps due to his disappointment on his recent activity and exhaustion. The waiter smiles and captured the situation at hand with a lifting comment—“Me?, I’m blessed Sir! co’z God is good.”

The tired guy quite wonders about waiter’s unusual remarks. He just settled into his seat and looked to the him busily attending to other incoming guest and moving from table to another. He noticed that a departing family left a huge mess and disorderliness to one table but the smiling waiter didn’t loose his natural delight as he effectively cleaned and arranged the clutters for more incoming guests.

WaiterPicture1As the waiter brought his hot rolls, the customer found himself silently leaning and asking—“How in the world can you be so cheerful?” The waiter again, showed his gold-capped teeth and shared without a doubt the source of his enthusiastic joy. His scripture references were accurately on target, launched like a missile on a mission, straight from the heart. The customer readily knows such, as he is a Christian himself trapped in some temporary spinning wheels of life’s predicament.

And throughout the meal served and between his trip to other tables, the good waiter stopped to answer more thought-provoking questions from him. He noticed that the waiter maybe depending on customer tips but they had no bearing on his work ethic. Left with either a messy clutter or a tip or both…, the waiter maintained his glee, cheerfulness and praised God’s goodness.

salute-anthony-fieldWhen the dinner were through, the customer found out that he is a former drug crazed guy that’s why he made it a point to share his deep compassion for others still caught in that lifestyle. Also he learned that the waiter’s fiancée is in serious sickness and wrote her name for prayer request handed to the customer.

The customer normally leave tips on the table but this time he gave it personally to the lighthearted waiter. He looked at him directly in the eye and said…” Thanks Mr. Waiter, you just don’t know how much I appreciate your service. It helped me a lot!”

Again the waiter flashed his joy and gladness with an equally animated smile. He confided quietly…. “Aaah! Church people are often the worst tippers! hehehe”

They both laugh……

ServiceIndeed, it was considered one of the most successful contacts of the customer’s weekend trip…. what do you say?

Friends, God bless you real good and keep on keeping on to the service for His name alone! Don’t be out of service…remain in Him! Shalom!

Do you have a "beautiful feet"?

feet2

Hi there!, "Quite a lengthy time to lift my pen again, (or my mind) to wonder and wander (smiles). And I'm moved by the motions of my feet to where they should go in the first place hehehe....

feet

Many times I have to rest, observe and appreciate the scene. I notice one truth that I rarely see, it was mostly overlooked especially when I 'm in such a predicament. Hmmm, 'wasn't very nice. Basic things I learned and acquired in my youth, must and should--be the stone foundations that push me..., every time! Whew, almost I forgot and when such of these things happens, ice every where are trying to cover me and coldness that surrounds prevents significant actions I should have done...tsk, tsk, tsk..haays!

And in this journey, I, in a way---chance upon the presence of some people who remind me about the road we're taking and the direction it leads. Ups and downs left or right---my travelling big feet seems to become quite heavy, err I mean becoming heavier and various shoes that amazingly carried me well in the past are wearing out. Yet I believe I'm not yet in my destination. Thanks to all those people who throws a good idea, influence and live inspirations. Praise God for them! Their incitement within motivates. Such a family that calms and soothes when I requires such. A home and warmth of heaven that was not even in my house before. I love that.

feet1

And from that, a much happier and more beautiful feet are greatly prepared---once more to be a stimulus for others to continue the travel as well. Oh!, lots of things are developing that I honestly thought it wouldn't. Positive chances and changes that requires my wise choices are still coming and preparing a new, organized choir to come out with a new song and music that everybody requires! Wow! Glory to God!

Spreading something that last is the best options one would & could take. I stand in the line (once more) with a beautiful feet of course, to those who scatter the "NEWS" that last. You see.., spreading the Good News is not the lone responsibility of teacher,s deacons and pastors only, it should be open to everybody that follows Christ! And with a new surroundings and new faces of young and driven team, I will live and do my best!  That is absolutely for God's glory! Let the Spirit open many hearts for the Lord and let it be seen and felt through me.

"Oh how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things." Well I know you heard these things from the former persecutor and self-righteous religious guy. Time to wear his kind of cap today Christian folks! On a personal level, throw the News to your friend, co-workers, family or maybe strangers. Such privilege.....such duty! Otherwise...,"how will people believe in Him of whom they haven't heard."

feet3

I just thought that in this world, the Lord has no hands but our hands, He has no feet but our feet. Likewise, He has no tongue but our tongue to work, to lead and to tell of His awesome love for everyone. Let's help people to come in His side.... Isn't it??? Amen?

So in the process, we would make our feet so beautiful, should we?, would we? Forward now...... I greet you with feet that fits.....

Shalom! God bless you real good...

The Blessings or the Blesser…

I am quite sure that you met a situation like this and obviously one would choose the Blesser for all I know…yet why so many people today are still yearning and living for so many things, why are they still forgetting where it really came from and even somehow, many would take those things dishonestly to their lives. Could that genuinely answer my title if its converted to a question? Hmmm….

One thing that bothers me is that we don’t really know who the Blesser is…..personally! When life rolls along the cliff of needs and wants, then requirements of love ones could fall in. Or perhaps.., when we are annoyed by somebody, could we still strongly produce a significant response to this.., I mean could we say or put the Blesser again on top of it all when our needs for the dying parents or brothers are in the line? When we need a medicine fast or money to pay for the cure, operation or important requirements. It’s one thing to answer it honestly when you are in a real predicament. Or when your sight is fixed on helping and saving the one so attached and important. You might go after the quick solution in your power and knowledge that satisfy to augment such. Perhaps….

The Blesser could get a shout out but the blessings are what we seek more! And many times, we crave for enjoyment or quick response of the creations in store rather than the Creator. Do we really need to give Him limited and conditional service instead of full submission to His glory whatever the case maybe?…

I’m no psychologist, but this I understand…, our eyes are fixated on the blessings generally. Even at times or should I say–most of the time, we want to get, meet or acquire response to the emerging demands rather than raising hands to the one who really produced that response. We mostly fail to see the importance of talking heartfully with Him as our wants are flooding and continuously coming. This is the thing that occupies most of the thoughts we’re possessing.

Hey! Jesus knows what we really need before we even ask for it, remember? Better to sing for His blessedness, better to praise the Blesser before directly asking for His blessings. After all the reason we all live is to worship, praise and adore the Lord above all! Let God reveal his endless magnitude by stripping those blocks that hinder His blessings to be enjoyed by us. Focus on that! Always seek the Blesser and blessings will flow! He is Almighty and His power never runs out.

So.., are we seeking the blessings or the Blesser Himself? Our response will persuade and reflect how we are truly and ultimately living.

I say…, Worship the Blesser to enjoy the blessings and more… Shalom!

VERSE-MEAL:
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. Jer. 17:7-8

Ngayon Na

 There’s a new beginning!

A new chance of learning, an opportunity for better living, a higher and greater push for an increase conformance etc… these choices have been open to challenge DFWour goal, motives and conviction. Are they in-line?. or out-of-line? Self-search lies in there….

How consistent could we be? Are our determination in tact? Do we have one by the way? Umuusbong pa lang ang pagbabago, would we continue it? Are we discipline enough to leave the mistakes behind?, and not to stick with the same story of weakness and fragility. Are we certain and settled to halt being the authors of our own miseries by bringing up the past mistakes? Hmmmm…. then let us do it! Let us have a deeper relationship with Christ and throw the shallowness away! As in my honest opinion, this is the cause of most troubles, the lack of direction, focus and peace. Victory have gone far and now it’s time to lure it back. We should maintain the “Ups” of development and achievement while lowering or totally erasing (if we can) the curve of “Downs”—Tama na!, kundi tatamaan ‘ta” (smiles)

And we can do it….because the Lord is victorious and so much greater that he that is in the world!

Pakiusap ko lang…, Ngayon na! (God bless po)

Always, Grass is Greener...

Picture4

The very first chapter I memorized  from the Bible was Psalm 23. “How could I not?” It has the promises that express God’s love, provisions, leading and guidance in our adventure of life. Such a wonderful thought to carry on, err, it is not just a thought—it is reality!, especially for those people who confidently depend and live everyday for Him. (First and Foremost) Those who knows Him, not by religion but by virtue of a relation with Him. Such a life, such a promise, such a state…Oh! Such comfort!

Kaya nga po, when I’m in some “not so good” situation, I just bow my head and think of the things He said in this wonderful Psalm. And as I stand before Him, I'm in definite confident that He will never…never leave me out there on my own. Grabe po ang comfort at grabe po ang resource. Di po ba?, San ka pa?

Allow me to express the chapter...

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside the still waters,
                He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake.

Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me,
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

SaulTriesToKillDavid

By the way, (for those who forgot!) this was written by King David when he was in a great distressed over the persecution of King Saul. (Oh yes, King Saul even threw a spear to him.)  Yet…, in spite of such predicament he choose to remind himself of God’s goodness and comfort. The continuance, the constancy and the certainty of such! (…follow me all the days of my life… Whew!) It shall be new every morning.  His hope rises, and his faith is strengthened. How resolutely he determines to cleave-on to God and to his duty.

Grabe po talaga, I would be running out of words speaking about this in my lifetime, Oh yeah! it would be "very-verrry" long pero pipigilan ko sarili ko at baka di magkasya sa blog ko. :)

Dvid

The critics, pundits, authorities or experts tell us to beware on the saying that "grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." But when God calls you to a new pasture.., it's true---you can count on that! You can take it to the bank..., so to speak!

God bless you all and enjoy a new home of thoughts. Hmmm!

Barns Filled?, For What?

I have been quite stocked in the hallway. "Am trying figure things out but quite a hilarious yet an eye-opener at the same time. 'Hope you grasp what I'm trying to throw....

Let us see the Word that I read and re-read. It's quite a revelation I discover for this write-up or maybe can also be used  for few sermons or devotionals. Such a gift, I tell you...., chew on as you go!

Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: "The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?' So he said, 'I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry."' But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?' So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Luke 12: 16-21

'Just think heavily about it. The Word of God is always timely for everyone. Let's focus  our thoughts on what this precious gem is saying for us to learn and apply today.

Many times it is very easy for us people to think that we have long years left to live and enjoy. But that is quite a foolish perspective to posses. We must and need to live like we will meet with the Lord tonight. I say this again with a little conviction.... "tonight maybe our last night!" Hmmm... Are you ready?

Hey, don't get me wrong! "Am just trying to be strongly audible as it might be too noisy in your place, hey? Another thing, I don't want you to think of stopping your plans and works, towards the future. I don't mean that! And it doesn't mean you don't save. In fact, the Bible says a righteous man leaves an inheritance for his children's children. Let's just have a good grasp of reality!

Because we need to live in such a way that we will not be ashamed somehow, we need to take our priority straight..., and by that, our first priority I mean! As we will (in time) have to leave all sorts of unused and undesignated funds and property, sitting in the bank that are not going to do anybody any good when it comes on the subject of eternity.

For sure, someday we will have to stand before Jesus and give an account for all of our stuff. And that may be sooner than later! Maybe tonight! 'Just make sure you know where you stand and where will you be when it comes. And let this comes as a loud reminder for all of us!

How's your barn now? Filled or Empty? God bless.....

Shalom everyone!

The Compromising Invitation…

dcomp

Pleasantries!

Have you been invited or caught in a compromising situation?, as the enemy will surely cause you to fall for one and seek your failure especially when you are on the verge of a certain breakthrough that will spell more of God’s power & love channeled to people around you.

Allow me to present the Word of God that will open up our eyes on how to overcome it when it comes. Such a wonderful scenario passed and conquered by our Lord to accomplished His mission here and brushed aside the invitation of compromise offered in a silver platter by the god of this world…..

It is clearly written and discussed in Matthew 4:8–11.., Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Come to think about it, the devil offered Jesus exactly what He had come to thisCompro world to obtain. As Jesus came to win the kingdoms of this world to our God. And the devil is saying, “Hey, You can take a shortcut. No one will know anyway, I will give You what You want. Try to bend a little, don’t be such a square! You don’t have to do it God’s way perfectly. You may have to compromise Your integrity a bit, just a bit but think of how quickly You will succeed! You can even avoid the whole sacrifice thing! No harm done! Just a little bend & a bit of compromise. You don’t have to do it God’s way.” And so the devil goes….

dcLend me your ears and listen, anytime God has set a goal for you, and you are going to obtain something, the devil will always come and try to get you to compromise and offer you substitutes that could appear to be practical and easier to do. He will tempt you by saying things like, “You can get what you want without living by all those narrow, restrictive rules that God puts on people’s lives. You can be dishonest; you can be unfaithful; you can compromise; and you can still be blessed, and you can still be happy.”

Do not believe the liar for a moment. His way of compromise leads only to ruin! Half truth is a whole lie! Many grand promises were hindered due to compromise. Some became limited because of compromise. Don’t settle for less! Don’t adjust to conflict! Don’t go for the opposing claims even if it seems easier. Don’t accept reciprocal modifications from him! Never received devil’s invitation! Follow God’s Word without compromise and blessings will rain without compromise as well.

Let His will be done!…….. without compromise!

Shalom everyone!
