Always, Grass is Greener...

Picture4

The very first chapter I memorized  from the Bible was Psalm 23. “How could I not?” It has the promises that express God’s love, provisions, leading and guidance in our adventure of life. Such a wonderful thought to carry on, err, it is not just a thought—it is reality!, especially for those people who confidently depend and live everyday for Him. (First and Foremost) Those who knows Him, not by religion but by virtue of a relation with Him. Such a life, such a promise, such a state…Oh! Such comfort!

Kaya nga po, when I’m in some “not so good” situation, I just bow my head and think of the things He said in this wonderful Psalm. And as I stand before Him, I'm in definite confident that He will never…never leave me out there on my own. Grabe po ang comfort at grabe po ang resource. Di po ba?, San ka pa?

Allow me to express the chapter...

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside the still waters,
                He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake.

Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me,
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

By the way, (for those who forgot!) this was written by King David when he was in a great distressed over the persecution of King Saul. (Oh yes, King Saul even threw a spear to him.)  Yet…, in spite of such predicament he choose to remind himself of God’s goodness and comfort. The continuance, the constancy and the certainty of such! (…follow me all the days of my life… Whew!) It shall be new every morning.  His hope rises, and his faith is strengthened. How resolutely he determines to cleave-on to God and to his duty.

Grabe po talaga, I would be running out of words speaking about this in my lifetime, Oh yeah! it would be "very-verrry" long pero pipigilan ko sarili ko at baka di magkasya sa blog ko. :)

The critics, pundits, authorities or experts tell us to beware on the saying that "grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." But when God calls you to a new pasture.., it's true---you can count on that! You can take it to the bank..., so to speak!

God bless you all and enjoy a new home of thoughts. Hmmm!

VERSE-MEAL:
Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you. Exo. 18:19
