Wandering from Wisdom?…

desert-wandering

Konnichi wa....

Hmmm, 'Just wonderin'..., If God offered you anything you wanted, what would you asked for? Hmmm...gandang choices nun ahh! Ano nga kaya?

Picture1

When David's son, Solomon was given that choice, he asked for the wisdom todiscern good from evil so that he might lead God’s people well. His kingship to rule good for the people comes first. “Because you asked this thing” God told Solomon, “I have done according to your words.” He even promised to give him “both riches and honor”. To this day, Solomon is remembered for the great wisdom God gave him. What a chance! What a gift!

Solomon began his rule with devotion to wisdom and deep ambition to build a magnificent temple to honor God. But something happened along the way that hindered this. His passion for living by God’s wisdom was displace by the allures of wealth and position God had given him. Nalibang siya sa pagiging hari at sa maraming good looking na babae sa paligid gaya nuong si David na tatay niya. His marriage to foreign women who worshipped pagan gods eventually led him---and ultimately the nation---into idolatry. Hmmm..., What a waste. Such a mess.

The lesson is crystal clear. Keeping our love for Christ pre-eminent ---is a primary objective for those of us who want to live to satisfy God throughout the course of our life. No turning back. A commitment to following the riches of God’s wisdom will enable us to avoid the drift that destroyed Solomon. What an enlightenment that unlocks imprisonment. (Naman!)

Keep your heart in tune with God’s wisdom and obey His voice. Always refer ourselves to the loving and precious Word of God. Monitor our heart daily to avoid wandering from God’s wisdom. That’s the way to finish well. That's the way to grab the promise.

As usual po....Keep on! Shalom!
